From little acorns…

I really should have mentioned “SEX” in the title to get more views or “horror, Defoe eats baby bunny!”

As the title suggests..wow, have we grown. Since my last load of drivvle, lots of things have been happening. Some sad, some good, some meh..

A fair few of our manly men have been breeding future generations of PL,( or getting ready to) seems to have happened with curious regularity that someone announces a birth or marriage..so YAY for them..boo for us as a rug rat generally means their playing time is curtailed ( need to get their priorities right)

We have got so big it was decided we needed an Inner council of long robe wearing, hoods over faces fetishists, primarily there just to make sure that no particular branch goes wild on us and moves away from what PL stands for, NOT i hasten to add to interfere in the normal running of a game branch.

World of Warcraft is still going strong with a steady influx of new members and returning older ones. Current rostor number last time i looked was 140 ish accounts and nearing 500 characters. Shau the GM over there is already displaying signs of becoming a miserable bugger ( about time too, his enthusiasm and positive attitude was getting on my nerves:-)..)

Tabular Rasa has some interesting folks who are starting to migrate and interact with the rest of the community.

Lord of the Rings Online is still going, I was tempted to open an account over there just to make a dwarf called “Buggrit” ( bugger it,,get it?) whose role playing would be limited to saying “buggrit” to everyone.

The spotlight at the moment is on Age of Conan. The big bossmnan, Defoe, is over there and a lot of guildies we haven’t see for a bit are showing up.

The guild is still biting its nails over the Warhammer online beta invite we got. Also an awfull lot of guildies have also bought the ..pre order box..as opposed to pre ordered CE. Its frustrating as hell tbh not to be able to talk about the beta when there is so much interest, but Mythic are our friends ( until they hit us with the nerf bat) and we have a long standing relationship with them to mantain, we aren’t about to let them down.

news reaches us occasionally of sicko’s playing some games where PL hasn’t got a prescence..no names mentioned of course Ellya ..really..im sure you’re a really good naval tactician.

So there you have it, Phoenix Legion, still going strong, still internationally recognised as the best guild to be in and sod all chance of anyone having anything to do with you once they find out you have been a member:-)

Oh and BTW…DONATE TO THE FORUMS..with the amount you lot post, put up pics and the amount of traffic passing through, these forums aren’t cheap to maintain ( corporate sponsors welcome) it isn’t hard..on the forum page at the top is a donate button ( time for Zenith to magically insert a link)..as much or as little as you want or can afford will be muchly appreciated.

All spelling mistakes grammatical errors ect, are intentional..and Stargate is about to start.

guild news

Well time for one of my very infrequent updates on whats happening in Phoenix legion on the Draenor server of World of Warcraft.

Guild membership in WoW is remaining steady at just over 400 rostored members.

Some old faces have come back and pretty glad we are to see them too, Hellya, Esus/Drix amongst others, Axis has finally restarted raiding and some new faces too.

Raiding wise , were are bumbling along in true PL style, taking our time and getting it right, rather than throwing peeps at an instance left right and centre 24/7. And npow barring nasty class balance problems, I think its safe to say all but one boss ( someone will correct me) can be called farmable in kharazan.

Grulls Lair is a different story however, 3/0 to grulls so far. To those not in PL who are laughing about us being down at not getting anywhere in only 3 tries. You have to know us. We pefer preperation to chaos, while others took down major domo, ragnaros, ossiran, vaelestraz long before us,  they also spent a long time getting it right. The most tries we had on any of the above bosses was Ossirian at 4 tries before we killed him.

We have had the pleasure of Defoe recently. Bit of a mixed blessing. He was alternately getting officers and guildies worried alike by his god like prescence, and the next minute corrupting our newer guild members. Allways a pleasure to see Defoe about.

I suppose things cannot all be sweetness and light and so some drama has to occure every now and then.

Every so often we have guildies who leave us, some with sadness, some with promises of keeping in touch, some with bitterness. While the first two cases invariably receive a warm welcome on their return, those who leave under less friendly circumstances may well find the door firmly shut. Not I hasten to add out of spitefulness, but out of a duty to keep PL the friendly place it is, when people leave the guild and vent their frustration very publicly, sometimes aimed at a specific person, sometimes a particular group, sometimes the whole guild, then expect to walk back in when they realise how unique PL is..just wont happen.

Some guildies may be bewildered how some manage to get back in, while others don’t. Whilst some think it fair and right for them to throw mud and dirt, the officers wont and quite often there are circumstances the “leaver” has conveniently forgotten or omitted and the officers  would dearly love to put things right and let all the information out, but don’t feel its appropriate to do so.
